This is Nepal’s all-time classic Everest Region trek through Sherpa-Land and to the base of Mt. Everest, trekking in the company of local Sherpas.
Among all the mountain communities in the world, the Sherpas of the Everest are probably the most widely discussed. Their life-style on the high mountain side of Mt. Everest, the sparse vegetation of the high Himalayas, their co-relation with yaks (a source of transportation, milk, cheese, meat, and wool), and not to forget their courage, determination, good humor and hospitality have been praised by the likes of Hillary, Bonnington, and Messner, mountaineering legends that have climbed Mt. Everest and over the years become close friends with the Sherpas of Everest.
On this trek, you will be transported from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city (capital of Nepal) to in-your-face views of Mt Everest. Apart from the amazingly close of views of the great Himalayan peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu, you will come in close contact with Sherpa tradition and culture.
