Pokhara Highlight with Day Hikes

 

The charming lakeside town of Pokhara offers the best panoramic views of Nepal’s Himalayas. It is a city with a combination of nature and culture. The famous Fewa Lake is the second largest lake in Nepal and is famous for the reflection of Mount Machapuchare (meaning Fishtail in Nepali) on its surface. The holy Hindu Barahi Mandir (temple) is situated on the island located in between in the lake.  The best viewpoint of city is Sarangkot (1600 m) with the spectacular views of the Annapurna range, Manaslu and Dhaulagari and the city itself.

Day 01

Fly Kathmandu to Pokhara 
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to domestic airport for quick 30 minutes flight to charming and peaceful lakeside town of Pokhara. Transfer to hotel and free time to freshen up and relax. Explore the Shanti Stupa overlooking Pokhara Valley and the Barahi Temple with a boating trip on the Fewa Lake. Dinner by lakeside and Overnight Hotel in Pokhara

Day 02

 Pokhara – Exploration and Day Hike 
After breakfast, set out for Sarangkot, the best vantage point above Pokhara for views of the Pokhara Valley, Fewa Lake and Mt. Annapurnas and Machapuchre (Fishtail). Visit Hyangja, a Tibetan Settlement, where there is a monastery, arts and crafts and carpet weaving centers. *Day Hike for 1-4 hrs option possible on this day. Overnight Hotel in Pokhara

Day 03

 Pokhara – Exploration and Day Hike
After breakfast, Visit Pokhara Mountain museum and excursion boat ride on Phewa Lake. After Lunch, visit Pokhara Bazaar; Bindebashini Temple, and geological sites like Seti River Gorge, David's Fall and Mahendra Cave. * Day Hike for 1-4 hrs option is possible on this day. Overnight Hotel in Pokhara

Day 04

 Fly Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast at the hotel and free time for shopping/leisure, transfer to domestic airport for 30 minutes flight to Kathmandu. Arrive and transfer to your hotel.
