Yale is the Alma Mater of the CEO of Charities and Challenges (C&C),  Kesang Doma Sherpa. Kesang  is an alumnus of Yale University (Yale ’04), graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Film Studies and Ethnicity Race and Migration Studies.

YNepal – C&C supports volunteers from Yale to Nepal in March 2009

From March 9-22 2009, the volunteer group YNepal will be returning to Nepal after a successful trip in the winter of 2007 where they volunteered at the Tibetan Refugee Center and the Nepal Children's Organization. This year, Charities and Challenges (C&C) will be supporting 11 members of YNepal with their travel plans to Chitwan National Park and sightseeing in Kathmandu, on the request of Arun Storrs. We are pleased to be helping fellow Yalies on this very noble cause!

Yale Whiffenpoofs Concert – C&C to organize concerts and stay in July 2009

On 3-6 July, 2009, the Yale Whiffenpoofs, America’s oldest College Acapella group will be in Nepal on their yearly world tour. In 2008, Kesang met the Whiffenpoofs members and took them out to lunch and a trip to Bhaktapur, an enchanting medieval city outside Kathmandu. She offered to host the Yale Whiffenpoofs every year, hoping to make a tradition out of it. In 2009, she has offered to organize one-two concerts in Kathmandu which will be in benefit of charity.
