There are over 190 children but classrooms are unorganized and children of mixed ages have to study together, and there are no facilities such as libraries or reading rooms.

Dec, 2008: C&C initiates charity treks to help Singla Village in Lower Manaslu Region of Nepal

C&C successfully initiated two separate exploratory Charity Treks in support of Singla, a village in Lower Manaslu Region of Nepal. Ms. Dagmar Boltersdorf from Germany and Ms. Georgina Hobbs went on these treks.
"The C&C Manaslu Pioneer Singla Trek was different from all the treks I made in Nepal in the past. I hiked through pretty rural villages, barley fields and forests encountering the local people and spending the nights in local homes. There were no crowds of westerners on the trails or in the lodges. But I shared the paths with villagers, men and women, their dokos (bamboo carry-all baskets that Nepalis use for carrying essentials) loaded with wood, food or materials for trade, school children, and mule caravans." says, Dagmar Boltersdorf, one of the participants who went on the exploratory charity trek to Lower Manaslu.
